My garage door is broke. I had to open and shut it manually to get my car out and when it closed it came down like a guillotine. According to the smart ass garage door repair man, I shouldn't have done this. Anywho...I 'm trying to get an idea of how much a repair like this should cost. The coil spring is broken and those tension wires on each side aren't functioning. Can anybody help?

Extension springs 1 broken all other parts look intact but need to be put back together. Live in Philadelphia, PA. No garage door opener. Metal door. Just want some average prices to see whether on not it's worth it for me to get estimates and repairs since I hardly use the garage.

The bottom 3 panels on my garage door are wrecked and I was wondering how much that would cost to repair, it is a 6 panel 2 car garage door... made of steel, I just need the panels fixed, nothing else... how much would that cost me?Thanks for the help but I repaired it myself, I placed a 2x4 on the inside of each panel, straightened them all out and raised the power of the garage door, and i also evened out the surface for asthetics...works like a charm now
DIY brick work on the sides of garage door repair?

Garage door repair?
I was closing my garage door and there was a shovel in the track of the door .when the door hit it, the cord attached to the spring at the top of the door came unraveled I have tried to fix it . The side of the cord that goes around the pulley at the end of the spring is now not attached . Can I fix this by rewrapping the cord around the pulley? It seems that I may have to take the bottom hinge off and rewrap the cord . How is the best way to fix this?

how do you adjust the two electric eyes od each side of door ? the door goes up about 6 inches and stpos then i push the remote agian and it goues down about 6 inches it does it over as many times as you push the remote control. Please HELP

I want to replace the ball bearing rollers on my old, but great funtioning, door. They are to noisey I want something more quiet. A door repair man told me recently they are all the same. I know that is not true because of my close friend was bragging, and he showed me, about how quiet his new door was.
