Question: What is considered minor maintenance or minor home repair?

No, but if you will give a few detailed examples I will try to tell whether or not it is minor or major. The same job could be considered either depending on the circumstances. Generally speaking, very generally, minor is something that can be done in a few hours, with no special tools. Cleaning a wall and painting it would generally be considered minor, removing the drywall and replacing it then painting would generally be considered major.

Minor home repairs usually consist of issues like leaking faucets, weatherstripping, caulking.plugged drains,painting a room, these constitute minor home repairs. Major home repairs consist of septic problems, major electrical issues furnace and or central air problems and plumbing problems that are out of many peoples expertise. Also roofing problems,leaks replacing roofing all fall under major home repairs.

Most minor repairs are things that the average home owner can do himself/ herself. major would be things that require a master craftsman, brickwork, plastering, Big time plumbing, like installing a bath tub, big time wiring, fuse boxes. installing a roof..
