How do I go about home schooling my 5 yr old in California?
I'm about to home school my daughter who will be five this school yr. I've just moved to California, and I was wondering if there are any home schooled mommies in California? I read up on the laws, but how do I go about filling out a form stating that I chose to home school my child? Thanks to all. Bless

i have heard this term used in a non religious discriminatory sense. i know it as only tolerance of differences. but recently i have heard it used in unfamiliar contexts. are there any wordsmiths who can assist my reeducation.

How do I get my mom to sign me up for home school?
I did absolutely great Freshman year. Every quarter, I would either be on honors or high honors. When Sophomore year started, half way through I got so gravely ill, that I couldn't go to school anymore. So, that was in January. Anyway, I've told my mom that I wanted to start home schooling, even online home schooling. She kept saying she would do it, but never did. I'm very depressed right now, because it's July. I guess, my schooling isn't important to her? It was sure important to me, but now I feel like a complete loser. Can I even sign up for homeschooling this fall or is it too late? I really hope not. If I do start homeschooling, do I start in Junior year or continue my Sophomore year? I'm just so confused right now. You don't know how much I miss school. It's this horrible feeling I have in my heart. I've always wanted to go to a great college, but now it doesn't even look like I'll graduate high school Do you have any idea how that feels? I'm unbelievably frustrated. Will someone please help me? I would be so thankful.P.S. It's sad knowing that I won't be graduating with the friends that I grew up with. I will never be able to even go to prom. I had such great potential, with the grades I was getting. Everything seems to be shattering, just because of a stupid illness. My goal was to go to Notre Dame. That's probably most definitely impossible now. I'm very sorry about this emotional wreck, known as myself. This is just the worst thing that ever happened to me.Also, are there any special homeschooling for aspiring authors? I've been writing a novel, since I haven't been in school. It's the only thing I'm actually proud of right now. I hope I will be able to get it published soon.No, I'm not still sick. The registration for my old school was way back in January. That's when I had to leave. Again, answer would be a huge help to me. I'm so uncomfortable even bringing school up to my mom anymore. She'll roll her eyes or yell at me. sighs I just want to start school again so badly. I feel like she's not letting me for some reason. How should I go about asking her this time?
Home schooling and G.E.D questions.?
I'm 16 and the last grade I completed was the 6th. I never went to high school or anything, and no it's not because I have kids, we just couldn't get me into home schooling. Now I am wondering since I am suppose to be in the 10th grade this year, could I do home schooling and do the tenth grade work? I don't want to go back to public. I want to be able to finish school at my own pace, so could I do my home schooling at tenth or will that put me back to seventh? And if I were to get my G.E.D , what would I need?Also, WHEN do I apply online for home schooling? Is there a date that I must apply on?ANNNDDD could I do like a summer home school so I can go up a grade? I know im suppose to be in the 10th but Im sure they will put me in the 7th so could I do summer home schooling and they will put me back up to my grade?

Should i switch from private school to home school?
My parents were wondering if I wanted to be homeschool student. The problem is, I love my private school friends and it would be my first time homeschooling. Should I try and see if I like it? I plan on home schooling my kids at least for a few years. But I have no idea what a typical day would be or what is a reasonable set of lessons for one day or for the week. My son is 4 and I plan on starting to home school him starting this September. What are some suggestions to a good set of lessons or curriculum for the week? I do have materials and lesson books, but I'm just wanting to know what a typical and reasonable amount of schooling to do in one day
